Fernwood Capital & Leasing, LLC was founded by Jon & Laurie Albertsson in April of 2000 in Buffalo, NY.  
Both Jon & Laurie had 10+ year careers each in the equipment financing industry prior to Fernwood. When the opportunity presented itself, we started Fernwood Capital where we could mold it into our own vision.  In the early days we started at the kitchen table with a can do attitude, one phone, one computer and a fax machine!  Business quickly grew and shortly after starting the company we leased commercial office space and started to assemble a group of dedicated team members.
 
Our long tenured team is proud to provide comprehensive business financial services that deliver Equipment Financing, Equipment Leasing, Working Capital and AR / PO financing.  Our years of experience and use of cutting-edge technology have enabled our clients to gain and maintain strategic business advantages.
 
After two decades of ownership,  Jon’s daughter joined the company in 2017, then in 2021 was promoted to VP of Sales for North America.  We are forever thankful for the experiences, growth and friendships that have been made along the way.
